IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DAUGHTER
Jean Roseann Ladehoff
August 23, 1978 - August 3, 1979
It is good to remember David as he pled for his dying son to be spared. He was in sack cloth and ashes. As I remember there was a state of mourning in his country. When the child went Home, he took off the garmet of sorrow, cleaned himself up. The people asked him why didn't he mourn as was the custom. His reply? My son can not return to me. I shall go to him. Amen. Amen.
I wrote this poem in Aug '99
Today I will touch the scar.
It is a tiny scar from an all encompassing wound. Pie in the oven - kids down for a nap
Sweet peace.
Quickly, silently agony possessed
the tiny form. Controlled panic - the run for life
Mystery of the unknown shrouding all
Time ceasing in flight, "We'll keep a good eye on her," the stranger assured.
HEAL or TAKE was the spiritual cry.
"Wait, my child," was His reply.
The cradling comfort of holding denied
by light of intellect, sterility, pain.
HEAL or TAKE was the spiritual cry.
"Wait, my child," was His reply.
Angry words screaming from the soul
Why MY child? Why ME?
Why not - He gave peace.
Weeping, holding, turning loose
Whatever, Lord. Accepted release.
Struggling, suffering, - Houston observed
Now, Lord, what shall I expect?
My hope is in You.
Gently He took her - free at last
Home with the Father.

Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints.
Life Application Summary Bible
God stays close to us even in death. When someone we love is nearing death, we may become angry and feel abandoned. But believers are precious to God, and he carefully chooses the time when they are to be called into his presence. Let this truth provide comfort when you've lost a loved one. God notices and each life is valuable to him
